Snapping refers to the automatic action of the game forcing Link into an exact position.
Snapping in doorways is useful tech for performing Door Glitches. It can be performed in 2 ways, both of which immediately stop Link's movement and allow the use of items.
- Taking damage while in a doorway (unless the knockback sends Link out of the door)
- Pressing parallel to the door while carrying an object
When snapping in north or west doors, the farthest snap will place Link 1 pixel away from the transition trigger. When snapping in east or south doors, the farthest snap is 3 or 4 pixels away from the trigger, respectively.
Auto doors can be snapped with the carry method, but it is generally more difficult.
