Spooky action setup
After fluting to the Desert dark world portal (flute position #6), the camera needs to be positioned so that the duck that dropped Link off at the portal exits the right side of the screen higher than normal. By moving to the right and down slightly so that Link is below the heavy rock covering the dark world portal, the duck will exit the screen in the correct position, therefore setting the correct ancilla value used for displacing the fire rod splash damage to hit offscreen crystal switches inside the Misery Mire basement.

Fire Snake and Anti-Fairy Skip
After hitting the third crystal switch and walking up the spiral staircase, Link will emerge from the stairs in a circular section of the room prior to the Vitreous boss room. Directly to Link's left will be a fire snake, moving right. You can avoid taking damage from this fire snake by moving up slightly into the staircase so that the fire snake passes below Link. While moving up, you can do a dash turn to the left and cancel just as you reach the outer left wall of the circular section. This will coincide with the anti-fairy reaching the inner wall. If you dash cancel, walk north, and align Link with the outer wall, the anti-fairy will reflect against the inner wall and Link will pass it unharmed to its left.
